Ahlan wa Sahlan! We’ll get to know each other over backgammon (Arabic: Tawla), music, and Çay.
We create a space for casual interaction and teach the rules of the game on-site—a game that has connected people across continents and borders for millennia.
In the Terrace Hall, and on the terrace when the weather is nice, we invite people to play together.
Beginners receive an introduction every hour on the hour, and coaches are available to answer questions.

Over tea and music, you can paint and get creative in a relaxed atmosphere: using colorful wood paints, you’ll design backgammon boards and pieces that you can later use to play at Yállá Táwlá. Everyone is welcome, young and old, with or without prior experience.
