Level Up Your Crochet – Summer Sequin Bandana

Ready to take your crochet to the next level? This workshop is for anyone who already knows the basics — whether you’ve joined us for our “Learn How to Crochet” starter class or you already crochet at home and want to learn something new. If you’re comfortable with a hook and know your basic stitches, you’re in the right place.

Together we’ll make a gorgeous hair bandana using sequin yarn — one of those materials that feels like magic to work with. Every stitch catches the light differently, turning a simple project into something truly special. And it’s way easier than it looks. The result? A handmade accessory you’ll actually want to wear all summer.

What you will learn:

In this Level 2 workshop, we transition from rows to rounds and add new techniques to your toolkit:

• Crocheting with Sequin Yarn: Learn how to handle this eye-catching material — its texture and weight feel different from regular yarn, but once you get the hang of it, it’s addictive.
• Working in a Triangle: Move beyond squares and rectangles — you’ll learn how to shape your crochet into a triangular form, the base of the bandana design.
• Double Crochet (dc): Master the most versatile stitch in crochet to add height and texture to your work.
• Pattern Reading 101: We’ll demystify crochet charts and written patterns so you can confidently start any project on your own.
• The Summer Bandana: Stitch by stitch, you’ll build a wearable headband that’s equal parts cosy craft session and summer accessory.
