Radio 80000 is Munich’s independent community radio, a platform for experimental music, club culture, and non-commercial broadcasting that connects local artists with an international network of sound practitioners. Slacks Radio is its counterpart from Newcastle upon Tyne, operating out of the DIY venue The Lubber Fiend. Both understand radio as a living social space.
Meeting in person for the first time, artists from Munich and Newcastle play hybrid sets, live performances, and DJ sets that dissolve the boundaries between club and sound art, where texture and narrative become as meaningful as the functionality of sound.
